Summer Lovn'

I have written this post twice now, only to be deleted....

So a quick overview of what's going on in our lives lately and photos:

I was water baptized 

Joseph finished 1st grade

We bought our first home

I delivered my last client as a birth doula

I got in to Texas Tech starting fall 2014

Our house has a slab leak in the kitchen 2weeks after we moved in

We stayed on friends couches a few nights 

We have spent many days swimming

Hanging out with friends is our daily agenda

Gone too long!

Well I cant believe its been over 6 months since my last post!! It has been a very busy 6 months. With school and family, I hardly have time to do anything else.

Lets play catch up really quick....

I passed all my spring semester classes! Woohooo!! Then started summer school June3rd. Had 2 classes every day all of june, then started 2 new classes in july. I will finish summer school August 8th! I cant wait...

I start my fall semester August 26th and Joseph starts 1st grade the same day.

This summer I started the process of becoming a birth doula. I am very excited to start this journey into the birthing world. I will be working as a doula at a local hospital. This opportunity will allow me to get my feet wet and get involved in some births. (this has always been my dream, to be IN the birth world)

Summer has been great. Joseph and I have enjoyed swimming almost every day and spending time with my cousin Amanda and my brother Khris.

Merry Christmas

This year Kyle, Joseph and I decided to spend Christmas at my grandparents house. We knew there was going to be snow and possible ice, so we drove back to Lubbock Christmas Eve. We had a wonderful Christmas at the ranch. Today we are going to stay home in our pjs, watch tv, read books, build legos, drink coco, eat rice and beans, play in the snow and enjoy our time together.

New Year Change

So much has changed since August. Where do I even begin? 

Well Joseph is growing so fast. It seems like every time I turn around he is going through a growth spurt. Kyle is doing great at Toyota as always. Now as for myself, I am entering a big change. 

For the past 4 years, I have been a stay at home mom/photographer/caregiver. Well thats all about to change. Thats right, mom is going back to school!! I finally made the decision to just go for it. Better late than never right? Everything has kind of fallen into place time wise so that helps. There are a few things that still need to work out, but I'm sure we will figure them out before school starts in January. 

As far as what I am going to school for, this dreamer is going big. Pre medicine is my degree plan. In about 2 1/2 years I will be able to apply for medical school. Tech is offering a new program for family practice doctors that I am considering. If that is not the route I take, then I will be going into OBGYN. 

I am going to be going full time spring,summer & fall, so our lives will be a little hectic. My goal is to finish as quick as I can. I will be cutting around 2 or 3 years out, which is great but going to be hard. 

So wish me luck and keep us in your prayers. Its been 7 years since I have been in school. I am nervous and excited about my new adventure. I know people go back to school all the time and do great, so I know there is hope. 

Since this is our family blog, I dont want to over load it with stuff about school. So I made myself a google+ page for all my school info and rants.
